Two canine have been stolen in a knifepoint theft close to Yonge-Dundas Sq., police say.

In a Thursday morning press launch Toronto police stated the armed theft happened on Sept. 1, the place two canine had been being walked within the space of Yonge and Dundas streets round 11 p.m. In accordance with police, the sufferer was confronted by an unknown man and lady. The person then threatened the sufferer with a knife and took the canine.

The primary canine is a golden brown Shih Tzu named Mari. The second canine is a black Scottish Terrier named Yurield.

Mari was in a stroller on the time of the theft.

Toronto police added that the canine require particular meals and medicine as a result of their allergy symptoms.

There has not been a latest pattern in armed robberies of pets, police stated, including that the incident seems to be an “opportunistic crime.”

The primary suspect is described as male, white, 25-years-old, sporting a baseball hat. The second suspect is described as feminine, white, in her 30s, with brown hair and sporting a light-weight inexperienced lengthy sleeve shirt and sweat pants.
